Black Sheep Compliance were tasked with the completion of a Legionella risk assessment within a high school. The assessment was completed strictly to our ISO accredited procedure and BS 8580:2010 before the final report was delivered to the site contact. The customer was also provided with a non-conformance tracker to help prioritise, track, and complete the highlighted recommendations from the assessment.

Following the assessment it was clear the schools Legionella control scheme was not fully compliant. Black Sheep Compliance were asked to design, implement, and manage a scheme to meet the requirements of the HSG 274 parts 2 and 3. As part of the service the persons involved with Legionella control were presented with a Legionella awareness raining course thus ensuring these persons are competent to perform their duties.

Following various alterations to our school’s water systems the buildings Legionella risk assessment required updating. Black Sheep Compliance was employed to complete a new risk assessment upon the water systems in the school. The supplier not only provided us with a very comprehensive assessment but delivered the document and findings along with practicable advice regarding Legionella control.

The decision was also taken to employ the company to complete our monthly Legionella testing. Over the past three years Black Sheep Compliance has implemented an impressive Legionella management system, provided training to our onsite staff, and communicated any issues arising from the regular visits.

Furthermore, the consultant assigned to the school is always helpful, polite, and is very professional when navigating to the school during teaching hours, thus reassuring us with confidence the monthly visits are completed correctly and safely.
